The Clear Selection button clears the selected features in all layers.

To only clear the selection of a specific layer, click the feature in the the map display window.

A window will display indicating that the selection has cleared.

Note: The clear Selection tool can be used to clear the 'Measure' Tool.  A window will display indicating

         that the Measure Totals have cleared.
